Keshaun Harris of Lansing Waverly paced CAAC individuals at the MHSAA State Boys Track Finals June 2. In the Division 1 Finals at East Kentwood, Harris won the 300 meter hurdles in 38.73 to lead Waverly to 1 9th place finish.
In the Division 2 Boys meet at Zeeland, the Lansing Catholic 4 x 400 meter relay team of Ryan Schraeder, James Fedewa, Jack Fedewa and Ryan Ruiter won in 3:23.27 enroute to an 11th place team finish.
In the Girls Division 1 Finals, Waverly’s Malin Smith captured the discus throw with a new MHSAA State Meet record of 163-09 as Waverly finished 10th in the team standings.
In Division 2, Olivia Theis of Lansing Catholic won the 3200 in a new MHSAA Finals record time of 10:37.08. Olivia Theis and Jaden Theis also finished 2-3 in the 1600 meter run to pace Lansing Catholic to a 4th place team finish.
